This is Li-ion Battery Charging board with Over-charging and over-discharge protection. The board is based on 1 x BM3451 + 4 x LR8726 chip-set. It can charge 5 li-ion cell and is not balanced. The BM3451 is a professional protection IC for 3/4/5 cells rechargeable battery pack; it is highly integrated, and generally used in power tools, electric bicycles and UPS applications. The BM3451 works constantly to monitor each cell’s voltage, the current of charge or discharge, and the temperature of the environment to provide overcharge, over-discharge, discharge over-current, short circuit, charge overcurrent and over-temperature protections, etc. Besides, it also can change the protection delay time of overcharge, over-discharge and discharge overcurrent by setting the external capacitors. The BM3451 provides external bleeding for cell-capacity balance function to avoid unbalanced capacity between each cell. Thus, the batteries can work for longer.

   A battery management system (BMS) is an electronic system that manages a rechargeable battery (cell or battery pack), such as by monitoring its state, calculating secondary data, reporting that data, protecting the battery, controlling its environment, and balancing it.

• Note 1: The successful start of the drill requires three 15C-20C power battery, or six 10C-15C power battery (ordinary 18650 can not start the drill!!). 

• Note 2: strictly according to map wiring 0V, 4.2V, 8.4V, 12.6V, do not deliberately short circuit.
